- Rother Valley MP Alexander Stafford will host the first ‘Schooling with Stafford’ event on Friday 15th January 2021 between 10am and 10.45am via Zoom.
- The event is a fun opportunity open to all primary school pupils and their parents living in Rother Valley to ask Alexander questions about being an MP and learn more about democracy and Parliament.
- Alexander hopes such events will keep children learning in a more entertaining way and help ease the pressure on parents while schools remain shut.
Alexander knows home schooling can be a tough adjustment for both parents and pupils.
To help liven things up and ease the pressure on parents while schools remain shut, Alexander is launching 'Schooling with Stafford', a Zoom event for primary school children to ask him questions.
The event is open to all primary school children living in Rother Valley and their parents. Children must be accompanied by a parent in order to attend, and vice-versa.
Parents who would like to join the event should email alexander.stafford.mp@parliament.uk with their full name and address to request the Zoom link and password in advance.
All local primary schools have been informed and have the option of incorporating the event into their lessons.
In addition, to help parents teach their children at home Alexander has uploaded a comprehensive list of helpful resources on his website, covering everything from maths and science to religious education and keeping children active.
Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said:
“Though our pupils may have to continue their education apart for a little while, events like these are so important in bringing our community together and helping our children learn about important concepts in an interactive and engaging setting. I am very much looking forward to meeting the children and their parents on January 15th.”
