Alexander Stafford MP paid tribute in Parliament to many local Christmas festivities, including:
- The Maltby Lions Santa Sleigh ride
- Carol services at All Saints in Aston
- Christmas wreath making in Todwick
- The Christmas Festival in Dinnington
- The brand-new Annual Rother Valley Christmas Card Competition
Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said:
“Christmas is a time for families to be together. Today I was pleased that the government published its plans for students to return home to their loved ones over the Christmas period, now my priority is making sure Christmas carries on as normally as possible for my constituents.”
“I would encourage my constituents to heed the Prime Minister’s words, that only by following the rules in the period leading up to December 2nd can we collectively have as normal a Christmas as possible. This means we must all be taking extra precautions to reduce the risk of transmission to family and friends at home.”
